Faradic Foot Bath and Conventional exercises |
The patient sits on a chair for faradic foot bath (10s contraction, 50s rest ×10), followed by resistance exercises: dorsiflexion, plantarflexion, eversion, inversion, and heel raises.
|
| Intervention |
Super Inductive System and Conventional Exercises |
The patient lies supine with the foot at the edge for SIS. The therapist positions the applicator, sets frequency and intensity as tolerated, and monitors for 20 minutes. This is followed by strengthening exercises: dorsiflexion, plantarflexion, eversion, inversion, and heel raises with mild to moderate resistance.

Brief Summary
|
Super Inductive System vs Faradic Foot Bath on pain threshold ,plantar pressure and foot posture for plantar fasciitis: A randomized controlled trial. Objective is to determine and compare the impact of the Super Inductive System versus the Faradic Foot Bath on pain threshold using a pain pressure algometer, plantar pressure using Harris Mat, and Foot posture using Foot Posture Index (FPI-6). A sample size of 40 (20 in each group), aged 20 to 65 years, diagnosed with acute or subacute plantar fasciitis, with a pain score above 3, and willing to participate. Participants with allergies, skin hypersensitivity, open wounds, DVT, rheumatoid arthritis, severe osteoporosis, ankle bursitis, diabetic neuropathy, foot infections, vascular disorders, tumors, impaired circulation, pregnancy, metal implants, epilepsy, psychiatric or cognitive disorders, lower limb fractures, or pacemakers are excluded. Group A will receive Super Inductive System therapy (20 minutes per session), and Group B will receive Faradic Foot Bath therapy (15 minutes per session, with timed contractions and rest), both combined with a standardized conventional exercise program (heel raises, ankle dorsiflexion/plantarflexion with resistance band, and foot inversion/eversion with resistance). Sessions will be held thrice weekly over three weeks.
