Brief Summary
|
Even with the tremendous advancements in contemporary biomedical science, the
range of therapeutic interventions is still restricted. A class of diseases known as
rheumatological disorders lacks a specific medical treatment in any kind of pathy.
With prevalence of 0.8% in India[4], rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most prevalent
kind of autoimmune inflammatory arthritis. Without a question, the allopathic
medical system plays a significant role in treating arthritic pain and limited mobility.
Non Steroidal Anti inflammatory Drugs and Disease Modifing Anti Rheumatic Drugs
are medications that are used to treat inflammation-related symptoms. However,
these drugs may have some side effects such as hepatic and renal complications and
bone suppression, while the majority of Non Steroidal Anti inflammatory Drugs have
gastrointestinal adverse effects. Several Ayurvedic texts describe using numerous
drugs for the management of Amavata.
Navaka Guggulu mentioned in Yogaratnakar and Vatari Guggulu mentioned in
Bhaisajya Ratanavali are formulations described having theurapeutic indications in
Amavata.
Several scientific work’s are been done to study Amavata from Ayurvedic Samhita’s.
On the other hand there is no any prior comparative study done to know the
efficiency of Navaka Guggulu and Vatari Guggulu in Amavata. This main analytic
characteristic can improve valuable involvement to the present knowledge of
Amavata.
Considering this, the study is planned as A RANDOMIZED COMPARATIVE CLINICAL
TRIAL TO EVALUATE THE EFFICACY OF NAVAKA GUGGULU AND VATARI GUGGULU
IN THE MANAGEMENT OF AMAVATA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO RHEUMATOID
ARTHRITIS. |
