a. Patients having clinical sign and symptoms of Dushta vrana (as per Ayurvedic and modern medical criteria)
b. Patients willing for trial.
c. Patients of age group 30-60 years of either gender.

a. If patients fail to adhere to the protocol requirements.
b. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, pre diagnosed disorders like maligancy, osteomyelitis and tubercular ulcer.
c. Pregnant and lactating mothers.
d. HIV, HBsAg positive patients.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of Panchvalkal ointment in chronic non-healing wound w.s.r. to Dushta vrana.
i. To explore the available Ayurvedic literature of Vrana w.s.r. to Dushta Vrana and ingredients of Panchvalkal in wound healing.
ii. To explore available literature of chronic non healing wound.
iii. To evaluate the effectiveness of Panchvalkal ointment in promoting better wound healing with minimal scar formation thereby improving the quality of life.

After completion of the trial, follow up will be done every
15 days for up to 45 days.

I would like to publish my research work after completion of the trial as soon as possible. Patients will be selected from OPD/IPD of RGGPG Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Paprola. 2 groups of 40 patients will be registered and assessed to evaluate the efficacy of Panchvalkal ointment in chronic non-healing wound w.s.r. to Dushta vrana. |
