Motor imagery training with balance training |
perform motor imagine training by freely imaging movements with help of some visual and auditory cues for the first 15- 20 min after relaxation and then go with balance training for the next 30 min

subjects aged between20-55 years
able to stand and maintain standing balance BBS greater than 24
Having sufficient cognitive ability to follow instructions [MMSE score greater than 22 or higher]
History of clinical presentation of stroke [ AIS or AHS ]
No previous gait related training interventions
Possible independent gait over 10 m [with or without usual assistance ]

No balance impairment other than stroke like parkinsons disease vestibular disorders etc
Sensory impairment proprioception deficit
unstable medical conditions HTN , unstable angina or severe respiratory disorders
cognitive impairment MMSE less than 22
subjects with age greater than 55 years increased risk of fall

Brief Summary
|
This is a prospective study. Study will commence after getting CRTI REF number . 30 stroke subjects of 20-50 years of age group will be recruited by simple randomization technique lottery method based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study to know the effectiveness of balance training with motor imagery training on balance and walking velocity in subjects with sub acute stroke . |
