1. All diagnosed cases of Irritable bowel syndrome using the ROME IV criteria.
2. Above 18 years of age
3. Patient of all genders
4. Those case records that have been prescribed either of these- constitutional, acute, intercurrent or any other specific remedy.
5. Case record of patients having remedy registration judged by MONARCH criteria starting from 6 months up to 1 year with homoeopathic treatment.
6. Case records in which follow-ups have been taken meticulously based on the criteria formed.

Brief Summary
|
Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a functional gastrointestinal
disorder where conventional treatments such as anti-diarrheals, stool bulking
agents, and dietary modifications provide only symptomatic relief without
addressing underlying causes. Research on homeopathy in IBS has shown mixed
results, with some studies reporting global improvement but lacking detail on
specific symptom changes, potency selection, posology, or strategies for
managing acute exacerbations. To fill this gap, a systematic retrospective
analysis of homeopathically treated IBS cases is proposed, focusing on disease
trends, aggravating and predisposing factors, epidemiology, and individualized
remedy strategies—including acute, chronic, intercurrent, and specific
remedies—while evaluating potency selection and repetition in relation to
patient susceptibility and sensitivity. This approach aims to establish clearer
correlations between individualized homeopathic remedies and clinical outcomes,
ultimately contributing to structured, evidence-based management strategies for
IBS.
