Brief Summary
|
The study is a randomized controlled trial evaluating the effect of Vinyasa yoga on the lipid profile of overweight and obese adults aged 18 to 40 years. Ninety-six participants of BMI 25 to 35 kg/m² will be randomly assigned to a Vinyasa yoga group or control group. The intervention group will practice 20 minutes of Vinyasa yoga, 5 days a week, for 8 weeks, while controls rest in supine position. Primary outcomes include total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides. Secondary outcomes include CRP, body weight, BMI, waist–hip ratio. Pre- and post-intervention assessments will determine yoga’s effect on lipid metabolism and anthropometry. |
