Brief Summary
|
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, autoimmune, and debilitating disease characterized by inflammation, pain, swelling, and eventual destruction of joints. It affects millions of people worldwide, leading to significant morbidity, disability, and decreased quality of life. RA is a complex disorder involving an interplay between genetic, environmental, and immune system factors. The disease process involves the activation of immune cells, release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and production of autoantibodies, which ultimately lead to joint damage and destruction. The current conventional treatment options for RA include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs), and biologic agents. However, these treatments have limitations, including side effects, toxicity, and high costs. Moreover, some patients may not respond adequately to these treatments, highlighting the need for alternative therapeutic approaches. In this context, Homoeopathy, a system of alternative medicine, offers a promising approach to managing RA. Homoeopathic remedies, derived from natural sources, aim to stimulate the body’s self-healing mechanisms and restore balance. Several Homoeopathic remedies have shown potential in reducing inflammation, pain, and improving quality of life in patients with RA. This study aims to investigate the efficacy of Homoeopathic treatment in managing Rheumatoid Arthritis. |
