Comparator Agent  Conventional Physiotherapy   Ultrasound Therapy (Pulsed Ultrasound with a ratio of 1:4 over the anterolateral tip of the shoulder with an intensity of 1w/cm2 and 1 MHz frequency for 5 minutes for a period of 5 weeks at the rate of 1 sitting per day and 6 times a week). Interferential therapy (20-minute Interferential therapy producing an amplitude of 80-150 Hz at the rate of 1 sitting per day and 6 times a week). Shoulder mobility and strengthening exercises at the rate of 1 sitting per day and 6 times a week for a period of 5 weeks.

By evaluating the effects of dry needling therapy on trigger points in overhead athletes with supraspinatus tendonitis this study aspires to contribute a functional approach to sports injury management and broaden the scope of functional strategies in musculoskeletal care
