Primary Outcome
| Outcome |
TimePoints |
| Establish whether higher VExUS scores are significantly associated with AKI progression in septic shock patients. |
Baseline values will be recorded on admission to the ICU as time zero,
followed by 24 hours, 48 hours & 72 hours of admission |

Brief Summary
In 110 patients, Bedside ultrasound scan of the abdomen called VExUS scoring scan which is the ultrasound scan of inferior venacava, renal and hepatic veins and portal vein will be performed by icu doctors within 24 hours of septic shock diagnosis and repeated at 48 hours and 72 hours. Standard ICU management will be followed according to the Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines to treat the patients in septic shock. |
