Brief Summary
|
ABSTRACT:
Background:
Flexible flat foot
leads to loss of medial longitudinal arch during weight-bearing, potentially
affecting lower limb biomechanics and increasing injury risk in footballers.
Objective:
To
evaluate the effectiveness of a six-week structured corrective exercise program
in improving the medial arch angle and functional stability of the foot in
football players with flexible flat feet.
Methods:
A randomized controlled trial will be conducted among 34 football players (aged
18–22 years) with flexible flat feet. Participants will be randomly allocated
into intervention and control groups (1:1 ratio). The intervention group will
perform a six-week structured corrective exercise protocol, while the control
group will perform general stretching and mobility exercises. Primary outcomes
include changes in medial arch angle (Navicular Drop Test and Staheli Index).
Secondary outcomes include improvements in functional stability and intrinsic
foot muscle performance.
Expected results:
It is hypothesized that the intervention group will show significant
improvement in medial arch angle and foot stability compared to controls. |
