Brief Summary
|
This observational study at GTB Hospital (Aug 2025–Nov 2026) evaluates whether the blood lactate-to-bicarbonate ratio is a better predictor of clinical outcomes than blood lactate alone in children aged 1–12 years with septic shock. It compares in-hospital mortality, length of stay, ventilatory support needs, and organ dysfunction (p-SOFA scores) across 130 patients. Arterial blood gas analysis will be used to assess biomarkers and guide outcome predictions.
