TITLE OF THE RESEARCH WORK 

TO ASSESS THE EFFICACY OF JWARAHARA MAHAKASHAYA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF JWARA  A CLINICAL STUDY

In Ayurveda texts Jwara is a symptom of various diseases but Acharyas mentioned it as individual disease.Acharya Charaka mentioned Jwara as a Sarvaroga-agraj, and Sushruta mentioned as Rogarat. Jwara is considered the most prominent disease in Ayurveda and is referred to as rogapati jwara  King of diseases Charak Chikitsa 3/26-27 

This study aimed to assess the efficacy of JWARAHARA MAHAKASHAYA in JWARA

Ayurveda literature according to  mythology Jwara was originated from the hot & destructive breath of Lord Shiva.  An imbalance State of Pachaka pitta leads Jwara which affect physiology of body & produces Ama which ultimately leads to Jwara condition.


DRUGS OF Jwarahara Mahakashaya

·       In Charaka Samhita Jwarahara Mahakashaya is described in Shadvirechanshatashriya                             Adhyaya in Sutrasthana.

                                  

PROBABLE MODE OF ACTION:

Antitoxic, channel-purifying, and Vata-anulomaka (Vata-regulating) antipyretic drugs such as Patha, Abhaya, Vibhitaka, Pilu, and Manjishtha.. Tissue-nourishing, digestive fire-enhancing, channel-deobstructing, and Vata-anulomaka antipyretic drugs such as Sariva, Sharkara, Draksha, Phalsa, and Amalaki.
