Need of study

This study aims to investigate the effect of the FIFA 11+ S program on upper limb strength, power, coordination, and reaction time in amateur college-level badminton players. By evaluating its impact, this research could provide valuable insights into the program’s applicability and effectiveness in a badminton-specific context, contributing to the development of evidence-based training protocols for the sport.

Aims and Objectives

AIM

To find the effectiveness of FIFA 11+ S program on upper limb strength, power, co-ordination and reaction time in amateur level badminton players.

 OBJECTIVES

To evaluate the effectiveness of FIFA 11+ S program on upper limb strength in badminton players by using dynamometer.

·       To evaluate the effectiveness of FIFA 11+ S program on upper limb power in badminton players by seated medicine ball throw test.

·       To evaluate the effectiveness of FIFA 11+ S program on upper limb co-ordination in badminton players by alternate hand wall toss test in badminton players.

·       To evaluate the effectiveness of FIFA 11+ S program on upper limb reaction time in badminton players by ruler drop test.


Study setting/site- Dr. D Y Patil college of physiotherapy

Study design – A Pilot study

Study duration – 6 months, each player will be called for 3 times a week for 8 weeks.

Study participants/subjects- Healthy amateur college level badminton players.

Sampling procedure – Purposive sampling

Sample size – 12


Inclusion Criteria

1.     Male players between the age group of 18-30 years.

2.     Players who have been playing badminton for at least 6 months.

3.     Players currently not engaged in any other fitness training program targeting the upper limb.

1.     Recent upper limb injury. (6 months)

2.     Recent surgeries (1 Year)

3.     Any neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic disease. (6 months)
