Brief Summary   The objectives of the study:
-evaluate the level of social interaction among nursing students using self structured social interaction quessionaire. 
- assess the level of social media addiction among nursing students using Social Media Addiction Scale Student Form (SMAS-SF).
-determine the correlation between social interaction and social media addiction among nursing students.
- ccompare the impact of social interaction and socila media addiction among across the different academic year. 
- association between social interaction, social media addiction and demographic variables.
Hypothesis
- there will be a significant relationship between the social interaction and social media addiction among nursng students.
Tools
  • Background proforma: it is a structured tool used to collect the basic background information about the study participants. It consists pf 14 items.
  • Social interaction quessionaire: this tool consists of 22 items, a 5 point liker scale, which is interpreted total score of 110, 82-110 rrefects high level social interaction , 52-81 moderate level of social interaction, 22-51 very low level of social interaction .
  • Social media addiction scale -student form: this is a 5-point likert type scale which consists 29 items and 4 sub-dimensions. The highest scored from the scale is 145, and the least score is 29. The higher scores indicate that agent percieves himself as a "social media addict’.
Plan for Data Collection
The college will be selected through the convenient sampling technique. Enumerative or proportionate stratified sampling technique will be used to select the nursing students within the selected nursing college. All students who meet sampling technique will be used so that every eligible student in the selected colleges is considered for participation and therefore, improving the representativeness of the sample within the study setting.
