Brief Summary   In today’s digital world, many toddlers and preschoolers are spending more time on screens like smartphones, tablets, TVs, and computers. Experts recommend that children under 2 should not have any screen time (except video calls) and those aged 2–5 should only have up to one hour a day. But in reality, many children are watching screens much more than this, leading to problems like speech delays, poor sleep, behavioral issues, and even obesity. One important factor that might affect how much screen time a child gets is parenting style. Parents may raise their children in different ways—some are strict, some are lenient, and some are balanced. These styles may impact how screen time rules are made and followed at home. This study helps to know parenting style and screen time behavior are connected in toddlers and preschoolers in Belagavi city. By using tools like the Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ) and a Screen Time Behavior Checklist, the aim is to understand how parents ways of raising their children can influence screen habits. The findings can help families and educators encourage healthier screen use for young kids.
