Brief Summary
|
Gingival crevicular fluid contains various biomarkers, which are associated with periodontal inflammation and tissue degradation.
Among the various biomarkers present in GCF, pro-inflammatory cytokines such as
Interleukin-6 and Interleukin-1 beta play a pivotal role in the
host immune response and appears early in GCF.Numerous
studies have explored gingival biomarker levels in relation to permanent
crowns, there is limited research on how provisional crowns influence gingival
inflammation and biomarker expression.Literature is scanty on effect of provisional
crowns fabricated using milled or PMMA on periodontal health. Therefore this
study is designed. |
