Clinical Assessment done on :- 1 st Day, 7th day, 14th day Follow-up done on : 7th day, 14th day, and 21th day)

Details  Immunocompromised patients with uncontrolled DM, HIV etc
Patients with bleeding disorders
Specific wounds with disorders such as Syphilitic ulcers, Leprosy, Tubercular ulcers.

Brief Summary   Title- Assessment of effect of jalaukavcharan in management of Dushta Vrana W.S.R. to Non Healing ulcers - Randomized control trial.

Sample size- Total - 94

Mode of Administration-

Procedure-

Leeches are prepared for Raktamokshan by placing them in Haridra jala.
The ulcerated area is cleaned using normal saline to remove discharge and dry gauze is placed

The leeches are placed directly on the wound or non ulcerated part and skin is punctured using sterile needle to induce bleeding.

Once attached wet cotton pad placed over leech.

After detaching haridra churna is put on leech mouth to induce bleeding.

Leech returned to water. 

Schedule- Once a week

Duration - 21 days

Follow up- 7th, 14th, 21st day
