Brief Summary
Modification(s)
|
The result of the study finalized there is a strong inverse relationship in abdominal and hip abductor strength with Q angle among patients with mechanical knee pain. So, there is a reduction in the abdominal strength that alter the lower extremity biomechanics especially the hip abductor strength and Q angle alignment that eventually led to increases the stress in the knee joint.
Therefore, assessment as well as the treatment goal for abdominal strength in prior rehabilitation plays important role to improving functional outcome, early recovery and prevention of abnormalities in knee joint. Abdominal may act as hidden part in our body, but its strength and its role speak through the lower extremity especially knee joint. |
