This is a Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial with pre and post test design using an Opaque Chit method to assess the effectiveness of Mandala Art Therapy on attention level among attention deficit hyperactivity disorder children attending Early Intervention Centre in a tertiary care hospital in Western Maharashtra. A total of 44 participants were randomized into intervention and comparison groups. 22 children received 18 sessions of Mandala Art Therapy for 06 weeks duration, 03 sessions per week for 30 minutes and 22 children will receive the Standard Dot Therapy. A change in attention level was measured using modified Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Parent Rating Scale (VADPRS) before and after one week of completion of the intervention. All 44 participants completed the study. Both the groups demostrated improvement in the attention level. However, improvement was significantly greater in the MAT group. The comparison of mean difference scores between the intervention group and comparison group was statistically significant (Z= 2.06, P= 0.039), indicating the effectiveness of MAT.
