Brief Summary
Modification(s)
|
| • According to modern aspects, gastrointestinal diseases refer to diseases involving the gastrointestinal tract, namely the Oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine & Rectum. [1] • But in Ayurveda, diseases comes under Annavaha Srotas & Puresh Vaha Strotas dusti lakshana like Agnimandya, Ajirna, Aruchi, Chardi, Amlapitta, Shool (Annadravashoola & parinamashoola), Atisar, pravahika, Gulma, udararoga, Anaha, Adhmana, Atopa, Visuchika, Alasaka, Vilambika, Grahani etc[2] • It is very much common that some students need to leave their homes for various undergraduate and postgraduate training. Most of the time they live in a hostel and consume meals in a respective mess or college canteen. While few students don’t need to leave their home for such educational purposes. • As clinical laboratory data do not communicate the whole picture related to a condition or an intervention, research is needed to examine the GI health quality of individuals in addition to the biomedical metrics. [3] • GI health quality questionnaires are frequently used to investigate gastrointestinal health. • GI symptoms may also worsen with the stress of daily life [4] • The overall prevalence rate of Gastrointestinal problems reported in India in Sep 2022 was 18% [5] • An estimated 70% of the body’s immune cells reside in the GI tract, suggesting that maintaining GI health is essential to immune system function and overall health. [6] • Due to modernization and urbanization lot of people are staying outside of their native place so outside eating is increasing day by day [7] • so this study may help to differentiate between Gastrointestinal Quality Among Medical Students Eating Home Food And Canteen Food. • People with GI diseases have a high prevalence of depression, stress, anxiety, and impaired central nervous system functioning. • FGIDS (Functional gastrointestinal disorders) do not lead to any increase in mortality, but they do cause considerable morbidity in the students by lowering the quality of life and increasing healthcare utilization. [ 4] • That’s why this study is aimed to evaluate Gastrointestinal Quality Among Medical Students Eating Home Food And Canteen Food. | Purpose- To Study the Gastrointestinal Health Quality Among Medical Students Eating Home Food and Canteen Food.
Type of Study- Cross Sectional Study | On the basis of validated questionnaire. | | Data will be collected with respect to pretested designed questionnaire . collected data will be entered into Microsoft excel spreadsheet.Categorical parameters will be expressed in frequency and percentage .Appropriate statistical test will be used after collection of data. |
