Brief Summary   As the researchers suggest, ankle injuries are more common in basketball players, the reason for which can be the errors in landing. The impact of errors in landing can also be found in ankle kinematics and foot pressure distribution.
Thus, here arises the need to-
• Identifying common landing errors in basketball players, including stiff-legged landings, uneven weight distribution and excessive pronation or supination.
• Quantify the effect of landing errors on ankle kinematics through joint angles.
• Investigating how these errors influence foot pressure distribution.
• Identifying areas of excessive or insufficient loading that may predispose players to injury.
• Giving beneficial information for coaches and trainers to correct improper landing techniques in basketball players so as to minimize the occurrence of ankle sprains and other lower extremity injuries.
