Intervention  Cardio-Kickboxing Training  A 6 week cardio-kickboxing training administered 3 days per week, including warm up , upper and lower limb techniques (taekwondo-based kicks and punches)synchronized with music(150-180 bpm), and cool down. Intensity maintained at 60-89% heart rate reserve, following ACSM guidelines. 
Comparator Agent  Traditional Taekwondo Training  Participants will continue their usual taekwondo training at their academy under qualified instructors for a total duration of 6 weeks (3 sessions/week, 45–50 min each). Content includes warm-up, technical drills, sparring, conditioning, and cool-down, standardized across centers.

Brief Summary  
  • This study aims to investigate the effect of cardio-kickboxing training on VO2 max, body composition, and reaction time in adolescent taekwondo athletes. 
  • VO2 max an indicator of aerobic capacity is a critical determinant of endurance and performance in combat sports like taekwondo, where repeated high-intensity efforts are required during short rounds. Despite its importance, aerobic conditioning is often underemphasized in traditional taekwondo training, which mainly focuses on technique and sparring. 
  • Cardio-kickboxing, a high-intensity exercise combining martial arts and rhythmic aerobic movements, offers a time-efficient method to improve VO2 max while simultaneously influencing body composition and neuromotor response. 
  • It can help promote fat loss, increase lean mass, and enhance reaction time through dynamic, full-body movements. 
  •  This randomized controlled trial will compare standard taekwondo training with a 6-week cardio-kickboxing program. VO2 max will be assessed using the VO2 Master Analyzer, body composition via bioelectrical impedance and reaction time using the Blaze-Pod system.
