PHYSICAL TRAINING |
A structured Physical Training (PT) module was designed to target specific fitness components over a 6-week intervention period for each domain. Separate modules were developed for muscle flexibility, muscle strength, muscle endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and body composition. Each component-focused intervention was delivered individually over a span of six weeks, incorporating relevant exercises and training strategies tailored to that particular fitness aspect. The muscle flexibility module included stretching and mobility routines, while the muscle strength module involved resistance training. The muscle endurance program focused on low-intensity, high-repetition activities. For cardiovascular endurance, aerobic exercises were emphasized, and the body composition module combined physical activity with nutritional awareness to optimize results. Each module was implemented systematically to enhance the targeted fitness component over the designated 6-week period. |

Intervention Protocol for the Study
The study will enhance key physical fitness parameters—muscular flexibility, strength, endurance,
cardiovascular health, and body composition. It will consist of five modules, each with specific
practices and assessments at the end to monitor progress.
Module 1 Sessions will begin with Sukshma Vyayama (gentle exercises) to prepare the body and will
conclude with relaxation techniques aimed at promoting recovery and reducing tension. The primary
focus of this module will be flexibility enhancement, utilizing practices from the yoga group and the
exercise group.
Module 2 Will continue with the same core structure of warm-up and relaxation, but will focus on
developing muscular strength. Practices tailored to each group’s interventions will target strength-
building postures and movements.
Module 3, The focus will transition to muscular endurance. Sessions will maintain the same
foundational components while incorporating exercises designed to improve endurance across all
groups.
Module 4 Will introduce practices aimed at improving cardiovascular endurance. While the core
component of warm-up and relaxation will remain constant, targeted cardio-specific exercises will be
included.
Module 5 Will introduce practices aimed at improving Body composition the core component of
warm-up and relaxation will remain constant targeted body composition-specific exercises will be
included. |

Brief Summary
|
This study aims to compare the impact of modular yoga and modular physical training (PT) interventions on five key physical fitness components—muscular flexibility, strength, endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and body composition—in healthy young males aged 13 to 18. Participants will be divided into different groups, each receiving one targeted intervention module (either yoga or PT) designed specifically for a single fitness component. Each module will follow a standardized structure including warm-up (Sukshma Vyayama), core practices, and relaxation techniques, with interventions spanning six weeks. The study employs a pre-post randomized control design, using physical, psychophysiological, and psychological assessments to measure outcomes. The findings will contribute to understanding the comparative effectiveness of traditional yogic practices versus modern physical training in enhancing youth fitness. |
