Brief Summary
|
Title: Comparison of online v/s offline mode of awareness and education program along with conventional physiotherapy on pain, disability and posture among young adults with text neck syndrome – a randomized controlled trial Text neck is the term used to describe the neck pain and damage sustained from looking down at the cell phone, tablets or other wireless device too frequently and for too long. The injury may be due to poor posture because, during smartphone use, the neck goes into forward flexion and the normal curvature of the cervical spine is flattened and stretched on the neck musculature. The poor posture of the head and neck has been correlated with chronic musculoskeletal pain of the cervical spine and upper back, tightness, and spasm in the upper extremity muscles. The consequence of text neck syndrome if not detected early and treated will lead to serious permanent damage such as: flattening of the spinal curve, early arthritis, muscle and nerve damage, disc compression, headache and depression. There have been many vigorous debates and thorough studies on the differences between online and face-to-face classroom teaching, this study’s focus is on examining the positive aspects and strategies of the online learning and teaching process and how it has been implemented successfully. purpose of the study is to find out Comparison of Online v/s Offline mode of awareness and education program on pain, disability and posture among young adults with text neck syndrome. Patient with text neck syndrome between age of 18 to 25 years will be screened on the basis of inclusion and exclusion criteria and their demographic data will be taken by an assessment Performa. Prior to the Commencement of the study, detailed procedure of the study will be explained to the Patients and a signed informed consent form will be taken from them. Pre-interventional outcome measures will be taken prior of intervention. They will be randomly allocated into three groups by Random table method. Group A (Experimental group): Subject will undergo awareness and education through online lecture + conventional exercises will be taught online. Group B (Experimental group): Subject will undergo awareness and education through offline lecture + conventional exercises will be taught personal. Group C (Control group): Subject will undergo only conventional exercises. |
