Brief Summary
|
Aim of the study is to explore the young adults’ views on commitment in romantic relationships. Primary objective is to gain an in-depth understanding of the young adults’ perception of commitment in present and future romantic relationship. Secondary objective is to explore any gender differences in the attitude towards commtiment in romantic relationships among young adults. The sample size for this study will be approximately 20 young adults. Inclusion criteria includes adults with 18-25 years of age, both sexes, English speaking and heterosexual orientation. Exclusion criteria includes any diagnosis of psychiatric illness and young adults who are engaged or married. Participants will be recruited using a flyer including all the necessary details, that will be circulated around the campus. Informed consent form and sociodemographic data sheet will be provided. A semi-structured interview guide will be prepared and validated by minimum 5 subject experts. Interviews will take place in a private. distraction-free setting, and audio recordings will be made with prior permission. Adequate breaks will be provided as needed during the interview. The data will be analysed using thematic analysis. |
