Brief Summary
|
Adhesive capsulitis, also known as frozen shoulder, is a disorder that causes discomfort and stiffness in the shoulder joint, eventually inhibiting movement. It causes thickening and stiffness of the shoulder joint capsule, resulting in both active and passive range of motion reduction. This study focuses on use of two techniques to improve pain, range of motion and ADL’s in Adhesive Capsulitis patient. Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) techniques are utilized in physical therapy to enhance range of motion and reduce pain . PNF uses specialized stretching techniques, muscular contraction patterns, and diagonal movements to improve mobility, movement control, and joint coordination. This study aims to find out the immediate effect of Shoulder and Scapular PNF technique in reducing pain, improving ROM and ADL’s in Adhesive Capsulitis patient. Sample Size: 34 Shoulder PNF : Diagonal patterns will be given with conventional treatment. Hold and relax technique will be given with 5 repetitions and 2 sets Scapular PNF: Diagonal patterns will be given with 10 repetitions. |
