Brief Summary
|
| NEED FOR STUDY Skin is the largest organ of our body and an outward expression of many internal derangements. The prevalence of skin diseases has increased over the last few decades and they contribute to a significant burden on the healthcare systems all across the world. The rate of repeat consultation for a boil or abscess increased from 66 per 100000 person-years in 1995 to peak at 97 per 100000 person years in 2006.
Eruptions like boils and abscess and carbuncle are a cause of much concern for the patient not only because of the ailment but also due to its psychological implication. Not only it makes one to look ugly but also affects person social life leading to disturbance in day to day life. Abscess on the skin have been common and now this problem has become even more generalized. Skin infections are numerous and frequently occurring health problem affecting all ages. While there is anecdotal evidence and some clinical studies supporting the efficacy of homoeopathic remedies for these conditions more research is needed to establish their effectiveness and safety in a scientific and evidence based. The study aims to stimulate the body innate healing mechanisms to treat acute attack as well as to prevent its recurrence rate with improving immunity and addressing the root cause of boils and abscess and carbuncle rather than merely suppressing symptoms. Rather than giving temporary solution, one needs to give cure of these complain which our master Dr. Hahnemann have given the definition of cure in aphorism 2 of organon of medicine which says that cure should be gentle reliable and permanent having most harmless way of treatment. Homoeopathic method of treatment is well known for its gentle and holistic approach in treating a sick. In Homoeopathy there are many different ways of prescriptions with indicated medicines are used to treat cases of boils and abscess and carbuncle and maintained results of before and after complaints of patient on physical
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY: Justify role of homoeopathic medicines in cutaneous infectious diseases such as boils and abscess and carbuncle as well as mental aspect.
