Comparator Agent  Physical excercise  A structured physical training (PT) session of 35 minutes daily for 60 days conducted by a qualified PT instructor. Counseling will be provided one day before the start of the intervention and twice a month thereafter, focusing on awareness of smartphone misuse and its impact on physical, mental, and social health. Sessions include fast exercises such as spot jogging, bending, body rotation, and coordinated hand and leg movements. Educational lectures will be provided on topics such as positive attitude, self-image, motivation, communication, goal setting, and leadership. Menstruating girls will be advised to avoid fast movements like spot jogging and instead perform slower, simple PT exercises. 
Intervention  Yoga Therapy  A structured yoga therapy session of 35 minutes per day for 60 consecutive days. Each session includes: - 5 minutes of warm-up (Sharir Sanchalan) - 20 minutes of asanas (yogic postures) - 5 minutes of pranayam (breathing techniques) - 5 minutes of dharana and dhyan (concentration and meditation)

This is a Phase II, prospective, interventional clinical trial aimed at evaluating the comparative effectiveness of yoga therapy and physical exercises in improving emotional intelligence among high school students diagnosed with smartphone addiction. The study will enroll 68 participants who will be randomly allocated to two groups: one receiving structured yoga therapy and the other undergoing physical exercise sessions. The trial duration includes pre- and post-intervention assessments using standardized tools. The primary outcome is the improvement in emotional intelligence, while secondary outcomes include reduced screen time, behavioral improvements. The trial is being conducted exclusively in India and is currently in the ’Not Yet Recruiting’ phase.
