Intervention / Comparator Agent
Type  Name  Details
Intervention  Left-right discrimination  Left-right differentiation means how accurately individuals can identify whether a part belongs to the left or the right side of the body. Different shoulder images of the will be displayed to the participants in different orientations using a mobile application, who then have to identify whether it belongs to the left or the right side of the body. The procedure will take around 10-15 minutes
Intervention  Tactile acuity  Tactile acuity is measured by recording the minimum distance at which two different stimuli are felt as two distinct stimuli. An aesthesiometer will be used to measure this distance, which would require around 10-15 minutes
Intervention  Temporal summation  Temporal summation refers to an increase in pain perception when the same noxious stimuli are applied repeatedly at the same intensity around the same area. A monofilament will be used as the noxious stimulus to elicit response, and the entire process will require 15 minutes

Brief Summary   This is an Observational study that aims to investigate somatosensory integrity via tactile acuity, left-right discrimination, and temporal summation in people with acute and chronic rotator cuff-related shoulder pain and the controls. The scores will be recorded at a single point in time for tactile acuity, left-right discrimination, and temporal summation among individuals with acute, chronic rotator cuff-related shoulder pain and compare it with normal healthy individuals without shoulder pain
