Brief Summary

Background: Forward Head Posture, or FHP, is a common consequence of modern life caused mainly by the extensive use of digital devices with poor ergonomics. FHP refers to an anterior displacement of the head relative to the vertical midline of the body with consequent muscular imbalances, neck strain, and proprioception alteration. Participants with Forward head posture will undergo an assessment of their reaction time and eye hand coordination and their values will be correlated with the level of their forward head posture.

Purpose: To find the relation of Reaction Time and Eye Hand Coordination with Forward Head Posture among college going students.

Methods: Participants will be recruited on the basis of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Included participants will be assessed for reaction time using ruler drop test a eye hand coordination using Alternate Hand Wall Toss Test and the data obtained will be correlated with degree of their forward head posture.

Data Analysis: Pearson’s correlation coefficient will be used to assess the relationship between FHP angles and both reaction time and eye-hand coordination scores if data is normally distributed. If the data is not normally distributed, Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient will be used.
