Brief Summary
|
Urolithiasis is one of the most common diseases of urinary tract. Urolithiasis refers to formation of stones in anywhere in the urinary system including kidney, ureter and bladder. In developing countries like india prevalence of urolithiasis is increasing day by day with a prevalence of about 12% world wide. Their prevalence in India also reflects worldwide prevalence and stands approximately 12%. Approximately 2 million people in India is affected with nephrolithiasis every year and some parts of country has denoted the name that "stones belt" occupies parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and states of north-east. In India. Surgical treatment plays a crucial role in managing kidney stones, especially for larger stones or those causing obstruction or severe symptoms. But non surgical treatments have several draw back like increased size, location, anatomical and pain management limitations To avoid the incidence of recurrence after surgical removal of stone and in search of an effective conservative treatment the present work will be designed.. Research design: – Comparative clinical study with pre and post test. The study will be an open clinical trial having 2 groups having 50 patients each, patients will be randomly allocated to each group for evaluation irrespective of gender, caste, socio economic status if the inclusion and exclusion criteria meets. Group1-Eladi Kashaya will be given 96 ml twice a day Group 2-Pashanabhedadi Kashaya will be given 96ml twice a day HYPOTHESIS: Null hypothesis: There is no significant difference in the effect of management of Urolithiasis with Eladi Kashaya and Pashanabhedadi Kashaya . Alternative hypothesis: There is significant difference in the effect of management of Urolithiasis with Eladi Kashaya and Pashanabhedadi Kashaya
