Brief Summary   The title of my study is “A cross-sectional study to assess the prevalence and associated risk factors for hypertension among adolescents in selected schools of Delhi - NCR.” Hypertension, traditionally considered a condition of adulthood, has emerged as a significant public health concern among adolescents due to changing lifestyle patterns, dietary habits, and increasing levels of stress. Identifying its prevalence and associated risk factors in this age group is critical for early intervention and prevention. This study aims to assess the prevalence of hypertension and identify associated risk factors among adolescents aged 10–19 years in selected schools of Delhi-NCR. Study Design is cross-sectional study design. Selected schools in the Delhi-NCR region will be taken as study setting . Adolescents aged 10–18 years enrolled in the selected schools will be selected as study participants. Data Collection will be done by help of a structured physical activity questionnaire, clinical measurements (blood pressure, anthropometric indices such as BMI), and information on dietary habits, physical activity, and family history of hypertension will be collected. Participants will be classified into various grades of hypertension. Data will be collected over a period of one month. Descriptive statistics will be used for measuring prevalence and inferential statistics to determine associations between hypertension and its risk factors.
