Foam Rolling |
Foam rolling has gained considerable attention as a self-myofascial release technique designed to improve flexibility, range of motion and muscle recovery. By applying pressure to muscles using a cylindrical foam roller, athletes can alleviate muscle stiffness and reduce soreness. Foam rolling can improve range of motion without significantly impairing muscle strength or function, making it a beneficial tool for athletes aiming to maintain peak performance levels. Duration three times per week for two weeks. |

Static Stretching |
Static stretching is a technique commonly used to improve muscle flexibility, has been incorporated into athletic warm-up and recovery routines. Static stretching involves holding a muscle in a stretched position for an extended period, typically between 15-60 seconds, to promote tissue elongation and flexibility. It has been suggested that when static stretching is combined with foam rolling, the synergistic effects may enhance range of motion and reduce passive stiffness more effectively than dynamic stretching combined with foam rolling. Duration three times per week for two weeks. |
