Comparator Agent  Core stabilization exercises along with conventional treatment   core stabilization exercises will be done for 10 repetitions with 5 secs hold, 3 sets,3 times per week. Conventional treatment includes hot pack for 10 mins,TENS for 10 mins and cold pack for 5-10 mins. This Intervention will be for 4 weeks 
Intervention  Myofascial release technique with core stabilization exercises along with conventional treatment   Myofascial release technique will be given for 7 mins for quadratus lumborum muscle and core stabilization exercises will be done for 10 repetitions with 5 secs hold, 3 sets. Conventional treatment includes hot pack for 10 mins,TENS for 10 mins and cold pack for 5-10 mins.

Details  - Active participation in cricket for at least 1year
- Cricketers with LBP associated with Quadratus Lumborum (QL) muscle involvement
- poor core stability in cricketers- grade 3 [Sahrmann core stability test (SCST)]
- Patient who can hold side plank position for less than 5 secs only
- pain in QL on side bending
- tenderness along QL
- grade 3 strength of QL muscle (pelvis elevation test)
- lateral flexion ROM limited contralateral side
- lateral pelvic tilt on the contralateral side
 
 
ExclusionCriteria 
Details  - Anyone who denied consent
- History of recent trauma/ injury
- Players with low back pain (LBP) but have some other cause
- History of any systemic illness
- Acute or chronic lower limb injuries
- neurological disorders
- a history of neck trauma
- existing hamstring injury or surgery

AIM: To determine the efficacy of myofascial release technique (MRT) of the quadratus lumborum muscle combined with core stabilization in cricketers with low back pain

 

OBJECTIVES:

  • To assess the effect of myofascial release technique of quadratus lumborum muscle combined with e core stabilization among cricketers with low back pain
  • To assess the effect of myofascial release technique of quadratus lumborum muscle combined with core stabilization on disability among cricketers with low back pain
  • To assess the effect of Myofascial release technique of quadratus lumborum muscle combined with core stabilization on lumbar range of motion among cricketers with low back pain
  • To assess the effect of Myofascial release technique of quadratus lumborum muscle combined with core stabilization on core stability endurance among cricketers with low back pain
