Brief Summary
|
The current study is titled "Effect of hip hinge exercises on core stability, dynamic balance and performance in football players".
Introduction Football is the most common high impact and intensity sport involving high risk of injury leading to loss of play time and absence of player from the sport for a long period of time for recovery from injuries. as football requires high level of skill, stability, strength balance during execution of skills during play, and the core strength and dynamic balance plays a major role.Hip hinge exercises are essential for developing strength, stability, and mobility in the posterior chain and plays a important role in improving performance and reduction of injury risk of players. The hip hinge movement is foundational for many football-specific actions such as sprinting, jumping, tackling, and maintaining balance. Aim The study aims to study the effect of hip hinge exercises on core stability, dynamic balance and performance in football players.
Method
28 participants will be selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. At the beginning of the study demographic data will be taken and pre and post effect of hip hinge exercises on the core stability, dynamic balance and kicking speed performance in football players using the outcome measures plank test, Y balance test and kicking speed test. Participants will undergo structured exercise program designed for 12 sessions involving warm and cool down along with set of exercises progressing weekly over a period for 4 weeks to enhance core stability, balance and performance. Statistical analysis of the data will be performed to compare pre and post-intervention outcome using the SPSS software. |
