Brief Summary

Aim: To determine the effect of forward walking versus backward walking combined with VR on pain, proprioception, and functional disability in individuals with non-specific neck pain.

Inclusion criteria

1) All genders of age 18 to 40 years.

2) Having neck pain for 2-4 weeks.

3)     Pain intensity more than 3 on VAS.

4) The ability to independently walk without any external aid.

5)     Willing to participate in study.

Exclusion criteria

1) If present with any serious pathology such as specific neck pain due to disc prolapse, tumor of cervical spine, whiplash injury, cervical fractures, or cervicogenic headache.

2) Neurological signs of nerve root compression.

3)     Recent fracture of spine and lower limb.

4)     Recent injury to lower limb and Amputation

5)     Impaired balance

Outcome measures

1)     Assessment of neck pain using Visual Analogue Scale

2)     Assessment of neck functional disability using Neck disability Index

3)     Assessment of neck position sense using the cervical joint Position Sense Error test

Procedure: The study participants will then be randomly allocated into two different groups. Group A will be administered with forward walking + conventional treatment and group B will be administered with backward walking + conventional treatment
