Brief Summary
|
Introduction: In addition to ongoing initiatives through the health systems, an enhanced program aims to bring an unwavering focus on breastfeeding promotion. The program will be known as the "Mothers’ Absolute Affection" or "MAA" program. August 5, 2016, was the planned national launch date for the program. Following the national launch of the MAA Program, states and union territories may introduce it in August 2016. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s "Mother’s Absolute Affection" (MAA) program is a national initiative that aims to bring unwavering attention to breastfeeding promotion and offer counseling services to support breastfeeding through health systems. Background: Increased Access to Breastfeeding (MAA) is a nationwide initiative to promote breastfeeding that is focused on all states and union territories (UTs), approximately 3.9 crore pregnant and nursing mothers, 8.8 lakh ASHAs, 1.5 lakh Sub-centers, and 17,000 birthing facilities/delivery points. Few valid and trustworthy instruments exist to evaluate lactation and the practices and knowledge surrounding infant feeding. All governments are urged by the declaration to create national breast-feeding policies and establish suitable national goals. Objective: To assess the existing knowledge regarding Mother absolute affection programme among postnatal mothers. To assess the practice regarding Mother absolute affection programme among postnatal mothers. To assess the effectiveness of awareness program regarding, the Mother absolute affection programme among postnatal mothers. To correlate the knowledge and practice regarding Mother Absolute affection programme among postnatal mothers. To associate knowledge and practice regarding MAA programme among postnatal mothers. Method: Is intended to have a sample size of 80 and will employ a pre-test and post-test design. The study will be conducted in selected hospitals in Wardha district. Non-probability convenient sampling technique. Expected Outcome: The goal of this research is to spread knowledge. Research attempts to spread knowledge regarding MAA programme throughout training for AVBRH of postnatal mother. Regarding MAA programme during training for a AVBRH of post natal mother. |
