Planned session on warning signs of cancer |
Give the knowledge reagarding warning signs of cancer in classroom in 3-4 session and assess the student knowledge from pre and post test within one week.
First day pre-test taken and also same day intervention given and seven day post-test will be taken. |

Brief Summary
|
In emerging nations, cancer ranks as the third leading cause of death.
More than 12.3 million people were impacted by cancer in 2007; over 7.6 million
people died from the disease (approximately 13% globally), with developing
nations accounting for more than 70% of cancer-related deaths; and 84 million
people will pass away in the next ten years if nothing is done. Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled growth
and spread of abnormal cells. It accounts for 21% of death worldwide. The
cancer cells possess abnormalities in the regulating of cell division and
survival by mutation which results in the DNA defect by ignoring
growth-regulating signals in the environment surrounding the cell, invading
tissue and metastasizing to the distant organs. One
group Quasi-experimental study design (One group Pre-test Post- test Design), Population from Young adults from New Art College who are present during the study. Study period of 1 months. Study setting:
The study will be conducted in College, Wardha. Sample size: 86 participates. result: gain in knowledge within 1 month. |
