Brief Summary
|
Despite modern advancements, non-healing ulcers continue to be a clinical and financial burden. Current wound assessment tools often neglect holistic and systemic factors crucial for comprehensive treatment. Ayurveda’s concept of Dushta Vrana, emphasizing dosha imbalances and individualized diagnosis, aligns with modern understandings but lacks standardized tools for consistent application. There is a need for a validated wound assessment tool based on Ayurvedic principles to bridge this gap, enhance reproducibility in research, and integrate holistic approaches into modern wound care. This tool would standardize assessments, improve clinical outcomes, and foster collaboration between Ayurvedic and contemporary medical practices. |
