Maitland mobilisation with k taping and conventional treatment |
The patient will be given posterior to anterior mobilisation that include oscillations upto grade 3 which include 1-2 oscillation per second given for 15 minutes and k taping done twice a week
Conventional treatment includes Tens and hot pack
Exercises : Isometrics for quadriceps , hamstring and adductors
Straight keg raises in supine , side lying and prone lying position
Gradual weight training beginning with 0.5 kg as the condition improves
Total Session duration - 30-45 mins |

Brief Summary
|
TITLE COMPARISON OF EFFECT OF MULLIGAN MOBILISATION WITH MOVEMENT AND KINESIO TAPING VERSUS MAITLAND MOBILISATION ALONG WITH KINESIO TAPING ON PAIN AND FUNCTION IN KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS
METHODOLOGY In group 1 : Mulligan MWM and Kinesio taping and taping is done for 2 times weekly will be given to the patients that includes the rotational glide in supine lying position and mobilisation with traction for 15 minutes 6-8 repetition for 3 sets along with conventional exercises . The conventional treatment include hot pack , TENS and exercises include isometrics for quadriceps , hamstring and adductors . other exercises are straight leg raise in supine side lying and prone position and gradually as the condition of the patient improves it includes weight training and the duration of the whole session will be 30-45 minutes the patient will be taught the exercises for home and after one week follow up readings will be taken again In group 2 : Maitland mobilization along with kinesio taping that is done twice a week that includes posterior to anterior mobilisation that include oscillations upto Grade 3 which include 1-2 oscillation per second given for 15 minutes .The conventional treatment include hot pack , TENS and exercises include isometrics for quadriceps , hamstring and adductors . other exercises are straight leg raise in supine side lying and prone position and gradually as the condition of the patient improves it includes weight training and the duration of the whole session will be 30-45 minutes the patient will be taught the exercises for home and after one week follow up readings will be taken again Discussison The aim of the study is to compare the two techniques along with kinesio taping and to determine the best treatment possible for the knee osteoarthritis patient
