Brief Summary
Modification(s)
|
Handball is a body contact sport which required high degree of physical fitness and skill. Handball requires strength, power, speed and stability. Plyometric improve explosive power and speed, essential for quick movements, while Pilates focuses on core stability, balance and overall body awareness. Plyometric and Pilates aim to improve performance components of vertical jump and aerobic capacity to reduce injury risk and increase their performance. Plyometric and Pilates training has its own advantages and potential for improving physical attributes and sports specific abilities of players. No studies have addressed combined effect of plyometric and Pilates exercises program in Handball player. Therefore, the present study is aimed to explore the combined effect of Plyometric & Pilates on Vertical jump height, Throwing ability, Aerobic capacity and anaerobic capacity in Handball player. |
