Brief Summary
|
The study aims to investigate the correlation between the rotational range of motion (ROM) of the non-dominant hip and dominant shoulder with bowling accuracy and speed among professional cricket fast bowlers. It seeks to address a gap in cricket biomechanics research, as most prior studies have focused on baseball and handball players. The research will employ 35 male fast bowlers aged 18 to 25 years from professional cricket clubs in Bangalore. Their bowling accuracy, speed, and ROM will be measured using a bowling accuracy test, radar gun, and goniometer, respectively. Statistical analysis will determine whether a significant correlation exists. This study could provide valuable insights for injury prevention and performance enhancement strategies for fast bowlers, considering the high prevalence of shoulder and lower limb injuries in cricket |
