Brief Summary
|
Introduction:- In the assessment criteria outlined in Charaka Samhita, ten different parameters are detailed,
including Dhatu Sara Parikshana, which focuses on evaluating the quality of Dhatus and
Aharshakti Parikshan which assesses the power of assimilation i.e. Abhyavaharana shakti
(ingestion) and Jaranshakti (digestion).
The level of excellence of Dhatus (Sarata) varies among individuals and this depends upon
Dhatuparinaman (transformation and metabolism). One of the primary factors influencing the digestion process (Paka),crucial for maintaining
Dhatu Sara,is Dhatvagni. Without adequate Dhatvagni, the formation of Dhatus is not possible therefore, Sara not only indicates the healthy condition of Dhatus but also reflects the optimal
functioning of the respective Dhatvagni.
Dhatwagni relies on Kayagni, which plays a crucial role in digesting and transforming the food
consumed. An individual’s Aharshakti (digestive capacity) is also influenced by Kayagni. Individuals having excellent power of Abhyavaharana and Jarana Shakti show notable physical
strength, longevity, happiness, a strong physique, exceptional mental capabilities, a high-quality
essence of Dhatus (Sara), and a great capacity to tackle various challenges. Their excellent
Ahara Shakti is evident in their capacity to effectively digest substantial amounts of food.
Rationality of the topic:- · In this modern era, due to globalization,
urbanization, neck to neck competition and advancement in the knowledge and
technologies, there is increased prevalence of life style disorders due to
faulty dietary habits i.e. excessive or less diet intake and Adhyashana (careless
eating).The
concept of Aharshakti in Ayurveda provides an extensive field of research and scientific status in the present scenario. Intake of proper Aahara according to
one’s Aharshakti corrects the irregularities that may occur in the
body, leads to proper functioning of the organs and prevents diseases. When Agni (both Kayagni and Dhatwagni) is in a balanced state, Dhatu Parinaman occurs
correctly, and all the Dhatus and their Sara are in
optimal condition.
· No study has been done on Ahara Shakti until
now and several works have been conducted on Dhatu Sarata and Agni but
no such work has been done which correlates Dhatusarata and Aharshakti.
So, the present research topic has been selected to find out the association
between them. Aim: To find association between Dhatu Sarata
and Aharashakti. Objectives: 1)
To
study the physiological & psychological aspect of Dhatusarata. 2)
To
understand and explain the concept of Aharashakti. Materials and methods:- 200 desired Healthy participants between age group of 20 to 40 years will be taken in survey Study. Results and Discussion: Data generated during the above study will be presented in a systemic manner as shall be analyzed, where the important points of the review of literature and data of survey study based on statistical analysis will be discussed.
