Brief Summary
Agnikarma has the ability to cure chronic diseases that cannot be cured by Bheshaja, Shastra and Kshara Karma. For Kamala rogi, agnikarma with swarna or tamra or rajata shalaka is mentioned. Based on samprapti, Kamala is manifested in two forms, Kostha Shakashrita Kamala (Bahupitta kamala) and Shakashrita Kamala (Alpa pitta kamala). Clinically they are mainly characterized by Haridra Netra, Twak, Nakha, Mootra and differentiated by Shweta varcha and Rakta peeta varcha respectively.
Jaundice is a yellowish discoloration of the skin and mucous membranes caused by hyperbilirubinemia. Jaundice becomes visible when the bilirubin level is above 2 to  3 mg/dL. In India it is 2.37-3.25 per 1000 population.Hepatocellular jaundice is an infectious disease affecting liver. Patients usually report darkening of urine before they notice sclera icterus. Patients also complaints of fatigue, anorexia, nausea. Hepatocellular jaundice, which is comparable to Bahupitta kamala based on the symptoms, requires long-term treatment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine whether the effect of medicines can be improved by the addition of Agnikarma and whether the therapeutic days can be reduced, thereby lowering patient treatment costs and hospital stays.
A minimum of 30 patients diagnosed with Bahupitta Kamala with their informed consent will be selected and divided into two groups.
Group A will be treated by Arogyavardhini vati and Punarnava mandoora.
Group B will be treated by Arogyavardhini vati, Punarnava mandoora and  Agnikarma.
