Brief Summary

The subject will be selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria.

After that, subjects were grouped randomly allocated into group A(INTERVENTIONAL) and group B (CONTROL). Then subject will conduct a pre – assessment in which medicine ball throw, upper body strength & endurance and the reaction time. Then values are recorded.

For Group A – The program includes six upper extremity plyometric exercise

With an elastic band shoulder external rotation at 0 degree

With an elastic band shoulder external rotation at 90/90 degree.

With an overhead throw using a 2kg medicine ball

a 90/90-degree external rotation side throw using a 2-lb fitness ball

a deceleration throw using a fitness ball 2-lb

a badminton(racquet) serves.

Training was initiated after 10 minutes of warmup session which included calf stretches, toe touching, reach ups, jog, arm rotations, neck clock, arm hug, and windmill that are all low intensity workouts.

Subject in the interventional group were follow the ballistic six program for 8weeks, 3 sessions in a week’s X 45mins session in addition to their regular training.

The subject in control group follows only their regular badminton practice and routine training.

After the completion of 8 weeks training program, both groups are again tested for post assessment to assess the shoulder performance, power and reaction time using medicine ball, upper body strength & endurance and reaction time. Then score will be recorded.

Then pre and post assessment test will be compared.

After completion of 8 weeks training program, at the end of 11 weeks subjects are follow up to check the effect will be maintain or not.
