Brief Summary   As adolescents grow to be the leaders of the future it is of utmost importance to ensure their psychological well-being and life satisfaction, so that they may emerge as well balanced adults. Indeed, the future of any culture hinges on how effective this preparation is. The youth of today face many more choices and demands than ever before. Whether it is managing ones emotions, developing a personal identity, resisting peer pressure, building relationships or acquiring information on education services, not only gives them greater independence, but also leads to greater conflict and frustration, thus affecting their psychological well-being.One best-practice model for contributing to the healthy development of adolescents is a life skills approach. For more than a decade, research on interventions that address these specific skill areas has shown their effectiveness in promoting desirable behaviours, such as adjustment, improved communication, self-esteem and study habits and preventing negative or high-risk behaviours. Life skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. Skill based training includes the following topics: Decision making Problem solving 3 Creative thinking       4    Critical thinking   5 Effective communication 6 Interpersonal relationship skills 7 Self-awareness 8 Empathy  9  Coping with emotions 10 Coping with stress
