Brief Summary   Effect of lactate-guided threshold interval training (LGTIT) on blood lactate accumulation and VO2 max in young soccer athletes. Soccer requires high-intensity bursts of activity, leading to lactate accumulation, which affects performance. Lactate-guided threshold interval training, which focuses on training at the lactate threshold, is proposed to enhance endurance and recovery. The study aims to determine whether  lactate-guided threshold interval training significantly influences blood lactate levels and VO2 max. The experimental group will undergo lactate-guided threshold interval training five days a week for four weeks, while the control group will follow conventional training. Pre- and post-intervention tests will measure blood lactate levels via lactate meter and VO2 max. via multi stage fitness test.
The inclusion criteria include male and female soccer players aged 18-25 with at least two years of experience, training five days a week. Exclusion criteria include recent musculoskeletal injuries and a high fatigue index. Statistical analysis will involve descriptive and inferential methods using SPSS, with normality checks and appropriate tests applied based on data distribution.
The study fills a research gap by applying lactate-guided threshold interval training in soccer, which has been well-researched in endurance sports but not in team-based high-intensity sports. The study hypothesis posits lactate guided threshold interval training significantly benefits lactate accumulation management and VO2 max, supporting its potential as an effective training method for young soccer players.
