Brief Summary
|
Title: Interrelationship between Dietary Habits, Caffeine Intake, and Stress in Females Aged 20-40 Years
Aim: To investigate the interrelationship between dietary habits, caffeine intake, and stress among females aged 20-40 years.
Objectives: Assess dietary habits using a structured questionnaire. Measure caffeine intake in participants. Evaluate self-reported stress using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). Examine the correlation between dietary habits, caffeine intake, and stress levels.
Hypothesis: Null Hypothesis: No relationship exists between dietary habits, caffeine intake, and stress levels in females aged 20-40 years.
Study Design: Type: Cross-sectional, descriptive study
Sampling Method: Convenience sampling sample
Size: 240 females, based on an estimated 33% stress prevalence and a 90% confidence level with a 5% margin of errorData
Collection: data will be collected using a structured questionnaire covering: Demographic Information: Age, occupation, education, and income. Dietary Habits: Assessed via structured questions. Caffeine Intake: Measured using a semi-quantitative questionnaire on caffeine-rich foods. Stress Levels: Assessed using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS).
Statistical Analysis: Data will be analyzed using SPSS, employing chi-square or Fisher’s exact test for group comparisons. Spearman’s correlation will assess relationships between caffeine intake, dietary habits, and stress. Statistical significance will be set at p < 0.05.
Expected Outcome: The study aims to clarify how dietary habits and caffeine intake correlate with stress in females aged 20-40. Results are anticipated to reveal dietary and caffeine consumption patterns associated with varying stress levels, offering valuable insights that could shape dietary recommendations to support mental and physical health. |
