To assess the correlation between Krodha (anger) levels and different Deha Prakriti (body constitution) types (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) in resident doctors, as measured by the Novaco Anger Scale.


This outcome will help determine if certain Deha Prakriti types exhibit higher or lower anger tendencies and how these tendencies manifest in the professional environment of resident doctors. 		 18 months

Brief Summary  
This research aims to explore the correlation between anger and Deha Prakriti (body constitution) among resident doctors, using the Novaco Anger Scale as a measurement tool. Ayurveda defines Prakriti as the unique physical and mental constitution of an individual, determined by the predominance of one or more of the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—at the time of conception. Prakriti remains constant throughout life, influencing both physical and emotional characteristics. According to Ayurveda, anger (Krodha) is associated with the Rajas guna and is described as an expression of the fiery (Agneya) element.

Given the high-stress environment of resident doctors, characterized by long hours, night duties, and demanding patient interactions, this study seeks to determine if certain Prakriti types are more prone to anger. It recognizes that mental health issues, including anger, are on the rise due to changing lifestyles and work pressures, yet remain stigmatized and under-addressed.

By analyzing the Prakriti of 100 resident doctors and their anger levels, the study will provide valuable insights into which Prakriti is more susceptible to anger. This research could contribute to better understanding mental health in the context of traditional Ayurvedic principles and lead to more personalized stress management strategies for healthcare professionals.

Key Objectives:

To identify which Prakriti is more prone to anger, helping design targeted interventions for stress and anger management.


This study could serve as a foundation for integrating Ayurvedic principles into mental health approaches for professionals in high-stress environments like healthcare.
