Intervention / Comparator Agent
Type  Name  Details
Comparator Agent  Dynamic stretching technique  Dynamic stretching protocol: The subjects will stand upright with their feet parallel and facing forward while holding onto some object for support. They will then be instructed to contract their hip flexors intentionally once every 2 seconds so that their hip joints will flex while keeping their knees extended and their leg will swing up to the anterior aspect of their body and their hamstring muscles will be stretched. Subjects will be asked to do stretching thrice a week for 15 days with a hold of 30 seconds and 3 repetitions per session. Duration of each session would be 5 minutes.
Intervention  Myofascial release technique  Myofascial release will be given with the ulnar border from proximal to distal direction with a light gentle pressure over the hamstring muscle until the slack in the skin is loosened. Every stroke is to be held for 30 seconds, 5 repetitions per session. Session will br given thrice a week for 15 days for 10-15 minutes.
Intervention  Remote myofascial release technique  Remote Myofascial release(Myofascial release to Plantar fascia): Participants will lie prone and the therapist will stand at the foot end of the couch and apply deep pressure to the soft tissues at the calcaneal attachment of the plantar fascia. Remote Myofascial Release(Myofascial release to Suboccipital region): The participant will lie supine and the therapist will stand at the head end of it. The therapist will place the pad of his fingers on the back of the head, at the upper cervical region and apply deep pressure. Sessions will be given thrice a week for 15 days for 10-15 minutes per session.

Brief Summary

The Patients will be recruited from Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences. Patients will be required to sign the consent form explaining their rights as research subjects. All the identifying information on the consent form and demographic data shall be confidential. The initial assessment of the patient will include demographic data, anthropometric characteristics and screening for tightness of hamstring will be done. Baselines assessment will include measurements for Muscle Activation from EMG, Gait from gaitON , Muscle flexibility from V sit and reach test and Physical performance from vertical jump. Intervention will be given thrice a week for 15 days. After which post intervention assessment will be taken again.
